Make More. Experiment More. Become Part of the Studio.

Our Clay Membership is designed for Clay Hand builders who want the freedom to create on their own schedule while being part of a welcoming, creative community. Whether you’re developing your skills, working on a personal project, or simply looking for more time with clay, membership gives you the space and resources to keep making.

Members receive access to Tuesdays from 12pm - 9pm to start, along with included tools, storage, firing allowances.

Before registering, new members may be asked to complete an introductory class or studio orientation so everyone feels comfortable using the space safely and independently.

Ready to join?

Explore the membership details below, choose the option that suits you, and complete the registration form. Once your membership is confirmed, we’ll send everything you need to get started.

How It Works

Experience and Support

Clay Membership is a self-guided studio program rather than a formal class. We recommend that members have taken at least one or two clay classes or have some previous hand-building experience.

You do not need to be an expert! Our team is happy to answer questions and offer occasional guidance when needed. Members should, however, feel comfortable working independently on their projects.

Member Orientation

All new members will complete a studio orientation before their first membership session. We’ll introduce you to the space, explain how bookings work, review our clay and glazing procedures, and go over cleaning, safety, and firing expectations.

Orientation helps ensure that every member feels comfortable in the studio and understands how we care for our shared space.

Fair-Use Firing

Standard cone 6 bisque and glaze firing is included with membership for a reasonable amount of personal work.

Rather than limiting members to a strict number of pieces, we follow a fair-use policy based on the amount of kiln space your work requires. Most everyday projects will be fully covered by your membership.

Additional firing fees may apply to:

  • An unusually large number of pieces

  • Large batches of small pieces

  • Oversized, especially tall, or unusually heavy work

  • Pieces that take up a significant portion of the kiln

  • Specialty or non-standard firing requests

If an additional fee applies, we will speak with you and confirm the cost before firing your work. This policy helps us keep membership affordable and kiln access fair for everyone.

Monthly Billing and Cancellation

Clay Membership is billed monthly and may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current paid billing period.

Membership fees already processed are non-refundable, but you may continue using your membership until the end of that billing period.

Ages and Supervision

Clay Membership is designed for members ages 16 and older.

Younger members may participate with direct adult supervision. Every person using the studio to create with clay must be registered under their own membership. Children or additional makers cannot participate under another person’s membership.

A supervising adult who is not creating does not require a separate membership.

When Your Membership Begins

Our first Clay Membership sessions will begin in September.

Once the program is underway, new memberships will begin on the first available Tuesday following completion of member orientation. After orientation, members will receive the information needed to reserve their studio arrival times online.
